In this article Cebeci and Tekdal discuss the use of podcasting as a learning object. For these students the use Podcasting can be a valuable way for them to be able to make sense of content which they may not have been able to comprehend in it’s written form.

Furthermore, this article also details the inherent value of podcasting as a learning object for visually impaired students. By providing these students with the audio files they can be given the opportunities to explore the same content as their peers in a form that caters for their needs.

In addition to the arguments presented above the article also goes on to discuss the notion that although podcasting can be useful for a podcast to be considered a learning object it needs to produces with a certain outcome in mind in order for it to be of sound educational value. This implies that it not just the using of the podcast that is of value but the content also needs to be of value.
